Peter Granat - Chief Executive OfficerIn his role as Group CEO of Cision AB, Peter Granat oversees Cision's executive management team across operations in North America and Europe. Most recently, he was CEO of its North American operations. Previously, he was the President of Cisionís European division based in London, and led the successful turn-around of the European division. Prior to Cision, Peter was Senior Vice President of Sales & Business Development at MediaMap which was acquired by Cision in late 2003.
Since 1992, Peter has been instrumental in the development of cutting-edge products and services to enable effective communication between the PR, Marketing and media communities. He has worked closely with clients to deliver solutions that address a wide range of agency and corporate communications needs. Before joining MediaMap, Peter worked for Springer-Miller Systems in Stowe, Vermont, a leading provider of electronic property management solutions. He holds a BA from the University of Vermont and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.
Charlotte Hansson - Executive VP and Chief Financial OfficerCharlotte Hansson was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cision in September 2013.
Prior to joining Cision, Charlotte served as Chief Financial Officer of Addici, a Nordic facility management company in the shared services and outsourcing industry. Previously, Charlotte worked at Modern Times Group (MTG), a Scandinavian broadcasting company, from 2000 to 2009. During this time she held senior financial positions at Viasat Broadcasting, MTG Radio and former MTG subsidiaries TV Shop and CDON. She has also worked as a business controller in the pulp and paper industry.
Charlotte holds a Master of Science in Business Administration (MScBA) from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
Dawn Conway - Chief Operating Officer, Cision USAs Cision's Chief Operating Officer, Dawn leads Cision's product, sales, marketing, analysis, and research teams to drive the overall strategic vision for the business. Dawn has an extensive background in content licensing, marketing, and business development and has held key senior management positions at LexisNexis. She is an attorney, current member of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, American Bar Association and the National Association of Women Lawyers. Dawn is also responsible for acquiring and retaining all content in support of Cision's global businesses, including news monitoring and media database services.
Magnus Thell - Managing Director of Cision EuropeMagnus Thell joined the company in 2005 and currently serves as the Managing Director of Cision Europe. He formerly served as the Managing Director of Cision Nordics, and in several sales and marketing director roles across the Cision group.
Prior to being employed at Cision, Magnus worked in management consulting at Ernst & Young. He holds a BBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin, and an executive education from the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland.
Terry Foster - President, Cision CanadaTerry Foster joined Cision Canada as President in 2011, following a management career in public relations and marketing in the US and UK.
Prior to joining Cision, Terry served as CEO of a Toronto company that uses social media, traditional media and viral video to support enterprise PR, corporate communications and marketing strategies. From 2006 to 2009, he was Executive Vice President and COO at BurrellesLuce. Terry began his career at Durrants in London, where he rose from an account manager to Director of Client Services. As an entrepreneur, he has advised many social tech startups in Toronto.
Terry graduated from the University of Western Ontario. He belongs to several professional organizations, including the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, the Institute of Public Relations and the Software & Information Industry Association. He is also an author of Fender: The Golden Age 1946-1970, a book chronicling the history of the iconic electric guitar.
David Pearah - Chief Technology OfficerDavid Pearah joined Cision in 2013 and serves as the Chief Technology Officer, overseeing Product Management, Technology and IT operations for the U.S. business. His experience in lean product management and agile software development drives Cisionís commitment to product innovation.
David most recently served as CTO and Senior Vice President of Product Management for Emmi Solutions, a healthcare enterprise software vendor in Chicago. During his tenure, the company launched an HTML5 mobile platform and was successfully acquired by private equity.
Prior to his position at Emmi Solutions, David was SVP of the ePrescribe Business Unit for Allscripts, serving five years with the company in Chicago. He also formerly served as Director of Product Management, Healthcare Division at Nuance/Dictaphone, and CTO of Boston-based startup PhoneRun.
David holds dual masterís degrees in Technology Management and Policy and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a bachelorís degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a recipient of fellowships from the National Science Foundation, NASA and the Ford Foundation.
Maureen Calabrese - Senior VP, Global Human ResourcesMaureen Calabrese joined Cision in 2012 and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources. She is responsible for leading people initiatives across all offices, including talent management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, and organizational development.
Prior to Cision, Maureen worked in marketing for General Mills before joining The Nielsen Company as part of the Client Service team focused on selling and supporting the Spectra software and service offerings. After being asked to take a leadership role in developing a Client Service training and development certification program, Maureen joined and later led the Spectra HR team with a focus on organizational development. Following her time at Nielsen, Maureen joined Ipsos as VP, Human Resources, where she a led a 10-person HR team providing strategic human capital support for three Ipsos divisions consisting of 1500+ hourly and salaried employees located in the US, Canada, and Romania.
She holds a BSBA from the University of Denver and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.
Jim Franke - Chief Financial OfficerAs Chief Financial Officer for Cision North America, Jim Franke is responsible for establishing and delivering upon Cisionís financial targets and objectives.
Jim joins Cision from IRI where he was responsible for all financial planning and analysis activities for a key division within Symphony-IRI. Prior to that, Jim was the CFO for Spectra Marketing, a division of The Nielsen Company, where he was instrumental in improving both revenue and expense performance by establishing strong linkages between financial drivers and business processes. After leaving Nielsen, Jim was a high school math teacher and tennis coach for several years before joining IRI.
He holds a BS from Bradley University, and a Masters of Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
K.C. Brown - General Manager, Cision Global AnalystsAs senior vice president and head of Cision's analysis services, K.C. Brown leads all aspects of Cision's analysis business. He is responsible for growing the business by directing product and service enhancements through the development of new metrics and methodologies. Previously, he led Cision's client development, managing the company's U.S. client portfolio across all lines of business. He came to the company via the acquisition of Delahaye, where he managed the research and advisory services group. While there, he led many of the firm's methodological and technological innovations and founded the Delahaye Index (now known as the Cision Index).
Prior to joining the firm in 1998, K.C. worked in government and agency public relations. K.C. holds a BA from Brigham Young University in public relations and a master's in mass communications research from the University of North Carolina, as well as an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Scott Livingston - Senior VP, Market EngagementAs the SVP for Market Engagement, Scott is responsible for ensuring the voice of the customer informs Cisionís business operations and practices. His brand marketing, product marketing, competitive intelligence, client training and support, and sales teams unlock value and solve business problems for clients in every industry vertical in which Cision US operates. Scott joined Cision in 2014.
Scott is a seasoned information industry executive whoís served a number of companies in roles as diverse as product planning, supplier relations, business development, corporate strategy, licensing, sales, M&A, strategy, and corporate communications.
Vanessa Bugasch - Senior VP, Product MarketingVanessa Bugasch joined Cision in May of 2005. Vanessa has overall responsibility for Marketing and Product Marketing for Cision worldwide.
Prior to joining Cision, Vanessa was the regional director of business development for PeopleSoft's education group. She has held various management positions in client services, training and business development areas at several companies, including Oracle and ADP. She holds a BS in management from DePaul University.
Heidi Sullivan - Senior VP, Digital ContentNamed one of PRWeekís 40 Under 40 Rising Stars in 2012, Heidi Sullivan is currently Senior Vice President of Digital Content and a self-proclaimed social media metrics nerd. She leads the companyís digital and broadcast content teams, the global research team for Cisionís media database, Cisionís social media community team and the companyís content marketing strategy. Prior to this role she was Vice President of Global Media Research and managed the enhancement and maintenance of Cisionís media database of over a million media outlets, journalists and influencers. She joined Cision in 2004.
Heidi is a host of the popular Cision Social Media Webinar Series, a founding blogger for Cision Blog and frequently speaks at industry conferences and events on best practices in social media, communications and the changing media landscape.
She was formerly an editorial manager and creative director for a firm that produced regional business magazines, an account executive at a PR agency and an editor and media researcher for a major newswire service.
Dan Wons - Senior VP, Global Infrastructure, ITDan Wons joined Cision in January 2005. As Senior Vice President of Global Infrastructure, Dan has overall responsibility for Information Technology at Cision worldwide.
Prior to joining Cision, Dan was the IT Services Manager at NIU-BIS where he had overall responsibility for an Information Technology training and consulting practice. Prior to this role, Dan worked as a Network Consultant helping companies design, implement, and support computer, network, and application solutions. Dan has a BA in History and an MBA from Northern Illinois University.
