CHICAGO: Bacon's Information, owned by Sweden-based Observer Group, has acquired broadcast-monitoring company Mulvision in a $25 million deal.
Multivision will now be known as Bacon's Multivision.
Babak Farahi, Multivision's CEO, will serve as president of the division. Most of the company's 130 employees will be staying on, as well.
Farahi said the company had been looking for an acquisition partner to help add to its product offerings.
"We knew that, long term, our customer base would be looking for an integrated solution beyond broadcast," he added.
Joe Bernardo, president and COO of Bacon's, said the acquisition would strengthen Bacon's existing broadcast-monitoring services, which the company started three years ago.
"[Multivision will] give us a turbocharge in terms of our role in the marketplace," he added.
